History will be made this spring when President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un, plan to meet. Nuclear tests, ballistic missile launches, and reciprocal heckling has for years nurtured a commonly held fear that another full-scale war will erupt on the Korean peninsula.

Now, finally, signs of peace and reconciliation are emerging from North and South Korea.

Few, if any, journalists follow this beat closer than Rafael Wober, who ran the Associated Press Television News office in North Korea for more than a decade. Wober offers a unique glimpse of the internal conditions in the Hermit Kingdom through his own photos and recordings.

This is a story you haven’t heard before, from the inside the most isolated nation on Earth.
